When you join the waitlist we collect the details you provide — typically your email address and any onboarding responses you choose to share. We use these only to contact you about access and product updates.

When you use the Stint app we collect account information, the focus challenges you join, the work apps you select to count toward focus time, and session activity needed to verify uninterrupted deep work.

We collect limited technical data automatically — device type, operating system, app version, and anonymized usage events — to keep the service reliable and secure.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the service: to create and manage your account, run focus challenges, verify qualifying focus time, settle prize pools, and process entry fees and payouts.

We use aggregated, anonymized analytics to understand how the product is used and to improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Focus Verification Data

Focus time is measured using Apple Screen Time and Family Controls APIs. The app records which of your selected work apps were active during a session in order to credit qualifying focus time and to end a session when an off-plan app is opened.

This data is used solely to verify challenge participation. It is not used to profile you or for advertising.

4. Analytics and Session Insights

On our website we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our pages through aggregated heatmaps and session insights. This helps us improve the experience. Clarity data is governed by Microsoft’s privacy practices.

5. Payments

Entry fees and prize pool payouts are processed through third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card details on our servers; that information is handled by our payment processors under their own security and privacy terms.

6. Data Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us operate Stint (such as hosting, analytics, and payment processors), and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information where required by law.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.
